20 pipelines

Digibee enabled 20 workflows to connect the customer to their partner systems

The Challenge

A longstanding, diversified transportation services company – whose subsidiaries operate in a variety of industry segments including retail automotive, truck leasing, transportation logistics and professional motorsports – outgrew their manual customer onboarding process.

Most partnerships of the business were large enterprises with legacy technologies. In order to connect the business to these partners and their systems in the current infrastructure, coded integrations were required – wasting time and money on IT resources and developers. Instead of wasting time, resources, and budget building coded integrations – the enterprise looked to Digibee to solve the challenge.

The major challenges with their onboarding process consisted of:

  • Lack of resources and skills to build custom code: the file management needed code built in order to pass shared files back and forth between partners and the business – something the IT department was not equipped to handle in its current state.
  • No automation: making monitoring and troubleshooting very difficult
  • Time constraints: a less modern solution would take double the amount of time needed to build the code internally

This collection of frontend and backend systems represents the business unit ecosystem; the integration platform needed to account for new and changing systems – without rebuilding integrations from scratch or adding difficulty in decoupling.

The Objective

  • Create automated, repeatable, and scalable workflows to speed up the onboarding process

The Plan

Digibee proved its value over the alternative option – solving this problem internally – by being faster, more efficient, and cost effective. IT leadership recognized that it didn’t have the skills or bandwidth to build a timely solution, embracing the partnership with Digibee.

Digibee would utilize Capsules (custom connectors) and pipelines (integration workflows) to solve the integration challenge – connecting multiple partners’ legacy systems without the burden of rewriting code over and over again.

The Outcome

The deadline was met and the retailer successfully runs an online storefront integrated with their legacy systems and new logistics vendor – all through Digibee’s enterprise iPaaS solution.

Other key results include:

  • 20 pipelines were built to connect the customer to their partners for seamless onboarding
  • The solution proved to be reusable and scalable

With the success of the integration project, the CIO and IT team then considered Digibee for future integration projects.

Digibee’s simple, cost-effective platform required less time and resources, providing this global transportation services enterprise with the means to embrace reusability and scalability for other business objectives.
